Cheryl Germanis,Bsc(nursing). Bcouns.
I am a Registered nurse of 35 years plus, and a relationship Counsellor of more than 10 years.
Born and bred in Zimbabwe, I moved to NZ in 1988 and have never looked back. I have a wonderful supportive partner and a treasured daughter.
My Counselling is eclectic – not everything works for everyone, but I have found my favourites are NET (Neuro emotional Technique), Havening, IDT (interactive Drawing therapy), PCT (Person Centred Therapy) and emotional focused couple’s therapy.
I wanted to hang up my nursing boots after 35 years, so I decided to do my Counselling Degree. I completed this in 2011 but couldn’t stop nursing. It’s who I am. The Counselling is my passion, and it has enriched me personally and my nursing practice one hundred-fold.
Counselling to me is a wonderful privilege, journeying together with people I meet along the way.
My goal is to make a difference in the lives of the people I journey with.
I would like to share some of these privileges with you.
